About Me

I am Robert Eakin, the instructor, and owner of Mobile Math Tutoring. I have been a self-employed math tutor since 2000. I provide online math tutoring programs out of Carmichael, CA, for Algebra to Pre-Calculus, Integrated Math, and Statistics. My interest in math tutoring began in high school and became a hobby that would continue through college and beyond.
I make the learning connection with students, remedy their difficulties, and make hard math fun and easy for them.

Education and Qualifications

I graduated from the University of the Pacific (Stockton, CA) in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. A few years later I passed the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) and did some substitute teaching for the San Juan and Natomas Unified School Districts, as well as for various private schools.

Personal Tid-Bits

On Sundays I attend a Church of the Nazarene. One of my favorite quotes is: "Good philosophy must exist, if for no other reason, because bad philosophy needs to be answered" (C. S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory). Another favorite quote of mine is: "I'm not going to get married, I'm going to be a superhero!"
